Ihre Aufgaben:
- Our client uses techniques from quantitative risk management, mathematical finance and econometrics; models are implemented in various programming languages before being embedded into the productive risk infrastructure
- The task involves data sourcing from a variety of data sources in the business divisions, transforming input data into specified formats, running data plausibility and consistency checks, running the statistical models and the aggregation model and, last but not least, designing reporting outputs to visualize the results
- Formulating requirements and actively working on data sourcing solutions (database design, interface design) within our current environment and for future IT development
- Providing IT expertise in various meetings on architecture and design of processes, from the raw input data to the final model results
- Reviewing and streamlining existing code for the aggregation engine and other models
- Designing interfaces to run a simulation
- Organizing code across desktop and platforms (creation of libraries)
- Creating user interfaces (Java, Web-based tools, Visualisation)
Ihre Qualifikation
- Master or equivalent degree in computer science, software engineering or in an IT-related subject
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience as database developer and programmer
- Literate in the theory of databases and general IT-architecture questions, practical experience with database systems (Sybase, Oracle, etc.) and their associated software (PL/SQL etc.)
- Experience in handling and organizing large datasets
- Programming in R and Matlab is a pre-requisite, and any high level language to an excellent level is a further advantage (e.g. SAS, Stata, Java, C++, C# etc.) as well as the ability and willingness to learn a new programming language quickly
- Affinity to financial applications and keen interest in the further development of such skills
- Co-operative and team-oriented, while being able to complete tasks independently and according to a high standard
- Excellent communication skills with colleagues at all levels in the organisation
- Ability to explain technical topics clearly and intuitively, both written and orally
- Prior practical experience in quantitative risk management is beneficial
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
