Network Systems Engineer | 3 Month Contract | Frankfurt, Germany | Immediate
We urgently require a Networking Systems Engineer to join a Network Operations Team in Frankfurt, Germany. This successful individual will be responsible for the operations of our global network infrastructure with a focus of the building a running. This is inclusive of implementation, error analysis, optimization and troubleshooting for network infrastructure components and systems. In addition, but not limited to, responsibilities include LAN, WLAN, WAN, IT Security and Firewall Technologies as well as Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and related topics. The successful candidate will also be expected to work with internal and external resources, service providers, suppliers, as well as IT teams from other business units and divisions. This will primarily be working on Level 1 or Level 2 support.
Person Specification
- Independent and Structured individual with good interpersonal skills.
- 2 - 5 years practical experience with the operation of network infrastructure, as well as an in depth knowledge of the network environment (LAN/WAN/WLAN management) switching, VLAN and general routing protocols.
- Good knowledge of Cisco Technologies (Catalyst, ISE, ASA Firepower, FlexConnect, AnyConnect, Meraki).
- Knowledge of riverbed appliances and Firewall solutions (Palo Alto, Fortinet and Checkpoint).
- Ability to write and speak well in both English and German.
