Project Manager/Pre Sales(German speaking) - Essen - €1000pd - 6 months
We are looking for a German speaking Project Manager with experience of Pre Sales and a background of delivering Software & Cloud focused projects for Enterprise customers. You will be based in Essen and working for one of Europe's leading Public Cloud Consultancies providing consultative, architectural, program and engineering support their customers' journey to the cloud. We are looking for a commercially aware and experienced Cloud Project Manager to drive the Customer's large-scale technology & business transformation Projects and Programmes. You will be accountable for the successful delivery of these transformations.
Responsibilities:

  • Full life cycle Project & Programme Management of customer engagements in a very fast paced environment - including all core aspects required to successfully plan, forecast, manage and report
  • Direct and strategically steer
  • Solid stakeholder management skills
  • Technical pre-sales and deal creation. You'll be engaging in technical pre-sales activities, from presenting and scoping to proposal writing and legal document creation.
  • Consulting to Customers in Cloud Project & Programme Management, delivery excellence and best practice
  • Risk, assumption, dependency, issue, change, account and escalation management - internal and external
  • Enhanced Cost Management with a strong focus on the commercial impact of the delivery
  • This is a client facing position working on client sites for possibly extended periods. You must be willing to travel.

What are we looking for?

  • You have a stellar educational background
  • 5+ years of experience as a Project and/or Programme Manager
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Established and demonstrable competence as a Client facing full life cycle Programme, Project or Change Manager within a technology/business transformation environment.
  • The ability to lead through inspiration, empowerment and making clear and decisive decisions.
  • Someone with a strong commercial focus in all areas of delivery, relationship management, and the identification of both opportunities and risk.
  • Capability to thrive under pressure: you are most comfortable working in a fast moving environment, spinning multiple plates at any one time.
  • An astute self-awareness: you are aware of your strengths and weaknesses, and have a continued focus on personal development.
  • Commercial awareness. You will be working very closely with the commercial team growing our business by identifying and influencing new opportunities within your assigned accounts.
  • Customer experience. You will be the liaison between commercial operations and delivery stakeholders to ensure our clients have a seamless experience from first meeting to service delivery.
  • Partner relationships. You will help foster our very strong links to our partners (AWS, Microsoft, Salesforce, etc) from a technical perspective, in your assigned accounts.
