For a global operating client Next Ventures are currently looking for the following:

Senior Consultant Inter-/Intracompany and Inventory Management

Team member Forecast-to-Stock in an agile SAP S/4HANA 1809 template build project. The project is an agile SAP greenfield template design project with S/4HANA. The organization is set up with 6 business teams (Lead-to-Order, Service-to-Retention, Order-to-Cash, Forecast-to-Stock, Purchase-to-Pay, Record-to-Report) and several platform teams (development, data migration, etc.). The template build phase is ongoing and planned until September 2020 followed by (pilot) roll outs, finalized 2025+. The end date of the assignment may change and be enhanced to cover as well pilot rollouts.

Main focus of the activities is the setup of inter- and intracompany relations for the new S/4HANA greenfield template in close cooperation with customer business, IT, other E2E streams Order-to-Cash, Purchase-to-Pay, record-to-Report and x-streams. During the rollouts a parallel system environment (new template S/4HANA and existing companies still on ECC 6.0 on HANA with SFIN 1605) will exist. Solutions for the communication for inter-/intracompany solutions between old and new world are as well in scope. A second part of the activities within the stream F2S is the integration of MM Inventory processes with the EWM sub-stream. The project is an onsite project (Co-Location of the project team in Remscheid, Germany) with core attendance MON 10/11 AM - THU 5 PM.

Main activities:

  • Map business requirements to S/4 standard functionality (SAP best practices) following an to-be approach proposing functionality and processes
  • Identify gaps and integration requirements, propose solutions towards SAP S/4 standard
  • Participate in scrum meetings and refine the requirements to be delivered in 4 week sprints
  • Work together with other streams, write functional specifications for the RICEFW team (if required)
  • Build the template & parallel system solutions
  • Document, test and show the results at the end of the sprints

Primary skills:

  • Proven experience in international template build and rollout project. Relevant project experience in SAP MM > 5 years.
  • Technical core competencies within SAP Inter-/intracompany processes (mainly business function LOG-MM-SIT for template). Good understanding of integration requirements and intercompany processes like triangulation, transfer of title depending on incoterms, etc.) Know-how in materials management. Both with S/4HANA version 1809.
  • Able to translate business requirements into SAP language. Latest SAP Hana knowhow (1809), good overview on latest status of SAP Hana Simplification list, Fiori apps and possible impacts on the project scope. Good communication and people interaction skills (ability to communicate in German is a big plus, but not a must). Experience in workshop execution and in shared problem solution finding together with the teams.
  • Strives for pragmatic Inter/intercompany and MM related solutions (target is to use SAP standard) and sound understanding in problem re-solution finding techniques. Ability to see the whole (understands when to proactively interact with other teams/Integration Team).
  • Experience in Discrete Manufacturing industry.

Secondary skills:

  • Experience in agile practices
  • Knowledge about agile value and principles, working experience in an scaled agile environment.
  • Basic process modelling knowledge (preferably in ARIS) as the process world modelled in ARIS is the basis for the template design and build.
  • Solution Manager integration knowledge with SAP Activate method is a big plus.
  • Atlassian Jira and Confluence experience highly welcome

Language: English required plus preferably German
