Embedded C/C++ -9 Months- Up to €85 per hour- Munich- Immediate start
You will contribute in architecting, writing and deploying the next generation of our Embedded software and firmware on our custom hardware platforms. The ideal candidate will have experience developing complex firmware and software for MCUs and Android/Linux platforms. This position is an integral part of the product development team and will regularly collaborate with the hardware, application and Back End engineering teams. This person will maintain full responsibility for ensuring the Embedded firmware and software work reliably with hardware and application-layer components. Additionally, you will own our Manufacturing Test codebases including architecting, developing, deploying test methodologies for our hardware products as well as supporting the build and test efforts within a factory environment.
Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and maintain custom drivers and enhancements for our custom Android/Linux-based platforms and Embedded microcontrollers.
- Create and write test cases to exercise and validate hardware designs and validate components and assemblies during manufacturing.
- Working closely with manufacturing partners and technicians, contribute to architecting and maintaining test stands, tooling, and supporting infrastructure.
- Evaluate Product and Engineering Requirement Documents to develop robust test requirements and implement such tests to improve reliability while reducing cost of test.
- Evaluate applicable standards for each product and designing test platforms to implement required testing.
- Develop and document test system design and maintenance routines, including calibration, replacement schedule, repeatability test, etc.
Requirements
- BS and/or MS in Computer Science/Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of coding experience on shipping Embedded platforms including microcontrollers and Embedded Android/Linux.
- Proficiency in C/C++, Python, Bash, and Embedded software development environments.
- Experience building custom peripheral drivers under Linux, RTOS, and bare-metal environments.
- Experience bringing up different sensing technologies (audio, PIR motion, ambient light) and interpreting data.
- Experience with the electronics manufacturing industry and the product development manufacturing phases.
- Experience with board bring-up and hardware debug using tools such as JTAG and oscilloscopes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
