We are currently looking for an ITIL prone Application designer for our energy client in Dusseldorf
Start: 15.11.19
End: 31.12.19 (+extension )
Location: Dusseldorf
Language: English
Volume: fulltime; 40hrs / week

Background: Prepare go-live of a new PaaS service for trading
Task:
- Consulting in Application Management - Sales and Trading
- Advise moving applications into cloud
- Manage hardware/ software lifecycle refresh
- Follow up on the IT documentation for the in-scope managed application/services - used tools
to create the documentation are Microsoft World / PDF - the initial documentation already in
place + discussions with the Project team for any discrepancy or major differences to be
updated. In many cases the consultant might not update the documentation but only follow up
with the experts who can document these updates.
- Create best practise documentation
- Communicate and coordinate task with relevant stakeholders
- Analyze application management life cycle and identify any area of improvement
- Consult the Application Managers in Incidents, requests and identifying resolution path and t
take the needed actions to achieve the solution for the Business users supported by Sales and
Trading
Skills:
- MS Dynamics knowledge beneficial
- Very good communication skills
- Good network knowledge
- Experience as developer (infrastructure environments)
- Several years of hands-on experience with Trading applications - support operations.
- Profound knowledge of trade life cycle process, related business process, information flows and data
structures as well as functionalities like Deal Capture, Risk Management, Back Office process like settlements,
confirmations
- Technical skills on Windows platforms and related products also client products as Microsoft Office
365 products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams); Linux working knowledge
would be an advantage.
- Experienced with cloud (e.g. Azure) based application operations and cloud based environments
- General knowledge on key network infrastructure elements (DNS, DHCP, routing, proxy), scripting
(Powershell, Bash), security components (like Active Directory) and DBMS (MS SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).
- Broad knowledge of end-to-end IT application support process, solid operational experience in
application support/ issue /Incident handling; project management experience is a plus
- Good ITIL skills
- Ability to lead root cause investigations, Analysis, reviews with internals and external parties/ suppliers
- Good interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills. Should be German and English
- Logical thinker, able to own, investigate and resolve problems and incidents and issues,
resourceful
and creative with the ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
- Experience with working in international project teams is an advantage.
