Optimus have partnered with one Berlin's top tech companies, over recent years they have cemented themselves as a major player not only within Europe but on a global scale. Their project pipeline for 2020 is looking very healthy and because of this they need a Java / DevOps freelancer with extensive experience in Spring Boot to come on board for a 12 month contact. The companies ethos behind remote working is pretty relaxed, once you are integrated into the project they're happy to offer 50% of the working week remote.Hourly rate will be between €90 - €120.
Responsibilities
* Design and implement backend services and complex core applications.
* Evaluate different methodologies and approaches to development - Leading by example.
* Build an innovative product from scratch, using cutting edge technologies.
* Improve productivity and sustainability continuously by using great coding and QA practices.
Technical Skills
* Strong background in Java software development using Java 8.
* Strong understanding of the Spring stack.
* Designing and developing the applications in SQL or ElasticSearch.
* Experience with REST.
* Building projects in Apache Maven.
* Understanding of the Linux DevOps environment. (MySQL, Kafka, Jenkins, etc)
