Optimus are currently working with a well renowned, global Asset Manager based in Berlin. The firm are currently going through a transition period and are actively diversifying their investment portfolios by branching out into different asset classes. As a result of this they currently have an urgent requirement for a Ruby on Rails Developer is required to work on and upgrade a monolith Ruby platform. This role will require you to upgrade the current Ruby platform from the current version to the latest version of Ruby. Therefore, you will need to be able to demonstrate relevant experience of where you have implemented this before. Ideally, you'll have experience with scaling platforms and have worked with platforms with terabytes of data.This will be initially a 6 month project based in central Berlin, with a strong possibility of an extension. Hourly rate will be between €60-€90.
Ruby on Rails Requirements -
- Commercial experience as a Ruby Developer
- Strong background with Ruby on Rails, minimum 5 years' experience
- Familiar with agile processes
- The ability to demonstrate experience in upgrading platforms
- Experience working with Cloud based platforms, ideally AWS
