Hardware Engineer - Hamburg - Freelance - €65/hrClient Overview:
I am working with a global leading provider of secure connectivity solutions. They are the largest driving innovation for the automotive, mobile and industrial markets. They are looking for a Hardware Engineer for their office in Hamburg to begin working on a project, on a 12-month contract with the opportunity to extend.
Tasks:
- You will be defining roadmaps so that they are suitable for FPGA validation
- Before the product is delivered to the customer, you will test and sign off the FPGA software
- You will actively be finding solutions for modelling and applying non-digital components to FPGA software
- Communicating and working between the frontend hardware design teams and the software teams
- You will be performing synthesis timing closure to meet performance requirements
- You will be responsible for ensuring there is the correct implementation of FPGA, and that the system is functioning effectively with our software tools
- You will also be responsible for porting he hardware designs from Verilog HDL to FPGA implementation
Requirements:
- Start 1st January 2020
- Onsite work (with 1-day remote negotiable)
- Very good English is mandatory
- BSc/MSc degree in electronic Engineering, Microelectronics or Physics
- 5+ years of experience with FPGA implementation and debugging
- Good Verilog coding and simulation knowledge
- Experience with Xilinx ISE/Vivado, Cadence Incisive and Synopsys Synplify
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of Arm cores
- RISC - V
