DevOps Engineer - Azure - AWS Rate: Competitive
A large Medical company based in Berlin are in need of a DevOps Engineer who will help create CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and containerising everything using ECS. Other Skills are needed for the below as this is likely to be a 8 month contract.
The Role:
* At least 4 years of experience within a DevOps Environment
* Experience working the CI/CD pipeline
* Configuration Management experience - Ansible/Puppet etc
* Some experience with containers will be a massive plus.
* Build, test and deploy cloud-based infrastructure and applications
* Codes test automation frameworks.
* Performs script maintenance/updates
* Evaluates existing applications and platforms and provides recommendations for improvements
* Participates in developing contingency plans
* Provides technical guidance or system process expertise.
* Documents functions and changes to new or modified modules and test activities/results.
* Work experience in .NET build process is preferable
* Responsible for backup & restore processes
Skills & Experience:
* Good understanding of version control system (preferably GIT), incident tracking tools (Eg: TFS/JIRA) and build/deployment tools (Eg: DevOps, Jenkins, Nexus, Anthill Pro) and configuration management tools
* Automate the build process. MS Build, C#/.NET/Web API, IIS using scripts (PowerShell) to build and deploy
* Experienced with security, identity and access management technologies
* Experienced in building, deploying and running infrastructure
* Cloud experience ideally with MS Azure Platform
* Experience in setting up and maintaining Continuous Integration and Delivery environments using tools such as Jenkins and/or Git.
* Experience in defining process and procedures to manage the release cycle for both Major feature releases and cycles of Minor Releases.
* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), interpersonal skills, as well as outstanding organizational skills.
* Nice to have Good understanding and experience with Agile software development methodologies.
* Experience deploying hybrid web/mobile software products
