On behalf of our Client we are searching freelance Support for following tasks:Tasks:
Development of new products and adaptation of existing ExServes'ae products
Pre-configuration of hardware and software within the connection process of new customers
Implementation of technical changes to the global ExServes'ae product infrastructure, OS updates and cancellations
Willingness for proactive monitoring and administration of ExServes'ae products
Handling of all technical problems and self dependent implementation of customers change requests
Creation and review of technical documentation
Update of customer installations on weekends during major release roll-outs.
Skills needed:
University degree in Economics, Information Technology, natural sciences or engineering
A broad knowledge of SUN and PC hardware (i.e. network cards, BUS technologies, RAID, ...)
Distinct technical expertise with regard to state of the art operating systems as
Windows 2003, Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008
SUN Solaris 10 (including zone concept)
Linux Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 (including VM concept)
Proven practical experience with
system and shell programming (on both Windows and SUN)
system management tools (e.g. NetIQ)
script languages (perl and wsh)
Ability to interpret technical incidents on the basis of system management and monitoring tools.
Strong, analytical approach to trouble shooting.
The following IT-skills will be considered as an advantage:
Theoretical and practical knowledge of Xetra/Eurex applications
Profound knowledge in general network architecture, protocols and technologies as firewalls and equivalent
General VB, C, C+, C++ programming experience
Proficient usage of the stat-of-the-art office products (e.g. World, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Projects) and business applications (e.g. mySAP)
The following interpersonal skills are essential
Native-like skills of the English language in both verbal and written form with particular focus on technological/network-related terminologies
Excellent communication skills in contact with customers and colleagues in the trouble shooting process as well as the willingness to work in teams
German language at an operational level is of additional advantage
Work pro-actively, independently, goal-oriented and demonstrate initiative as well as the ability to work under pressure while delivering high-quality work products
