A leading telecom company in Europe is looking for a Software Test Engineer with experience in SQL.
The person will join the Geoinformation Systems team which creates interactive map applications. The TechStack includes GIS tools like ArcGIS, FME, QGIs or MapApps, databases like PostgreSQL/PostGIS, Oracle and languages like Python, SQL and JavaScript.
Main Responsabilities:
- Expert advice on all questions concerning (automated) quality assurance, testing and test automation and the establishment of suitable test practices in the team Geoinformationssysteme
- Active role in planning new features
- Derivation of suitable test measures and a toolstack based on the business model and the technology stack
- Expert advice on manual testing and writing of automated tests
- Continuous development of our instruments
Main Requirements:
- Proven practical experience in programming automated tests along the test pyramid with Python and/or JavaScript, or equivalent experience in another programming language and willingness to get up to speed with Python/JavaScript
- Very good SQL skills in at least one relational database system like PostgreSQL
- QA know-how in the database environment and Front End testing in the browser
- Ideally have one certification (eg ISTQB)
- Adaptation to changing environments in test projects as part of our product development
- Willingness to become familiar with the subject geographic information systems
- High degree of quality and responsibility, as well as the ability to act in a solution-oriented manner
- Very independent way of working, hands-on mentality
- Very good knowledge of German
Remote possibility: after training and consultation it is possible
Daily rate: 450€
Contract: until September + extension
