For our energy client we are currently looking for a Master Data consultant (Datamodelling)

Additional Sites: Essen, Nottingham (50 percent Travel)

Client urgently needs a Master Data Management Consultant who can enable them to utilize our Customer and Employee data in a way that enables them to be GDPR compliant whilst also using data as an asset.
Tasks:
- Collect the requirements from the key Stakeholders and data SMEs related to the data models and metadata
- Advising on the implementation of Datamodelling activities/data flow designs and metadata management tool (Erwin or similar tools: Enterprise Architect, E/R Studio, etc.)
- Document and maintain metadata repository of the program
- Document the lineage of the existing data elements
- Advising on the implementation of the next releases of the applications in scope by analysing the impact on the data architecture
- Provide input for the optimization of the data governance processes
Deliverables of the Role:
- Document the existing data lineage of elements in the scope
- Document the mapping and transformations in the interfaces between the systems
- Document and maintain metadata repository of the program
- Support to the definition of the data architecture within the project
- Design and document data governance processes
- Create the data models (conceptual, logical, physical)
Skills:
- Strong background as Senior Data Modeler
- min. 5-10-years work experience in projects/roles focused on building strong, consistent data capabilities
- Significant experience of working for a large multinational in an agile environment (eg, SAFe)
- Significant Data Architecture experience: Datamodelling (conceptual, logical, physical), defining data standards, managing the meta data
- Experience in designing or analysing the interfaces between the systems, ideally in a SaaS model
- In-depth understanding of the data architecture of at least one of the major systems in the current landscape (Salesforce Sales and Services; PowerCloud; Gentract Velocity; OpenText)
- Very good communication skills and stakeholder management
- Experience in software architectures and solution integrations based on SaaS beneficial
- Significant Datamodelling experience
- Datamodelling (conceptual, logical, physical)
- Data standards definition
- Management of the meta data catalogue
- Analysis and documentation of the data lineage
- Ability to translate the business requirements into data models
- Experience in negotiating and defining the standards for the metadata
Nice-to-have:
- Experience in utilities industry and data architecture of the systems like SFDC Sales/Service, Gentrack Velocity, Powercloud beneficial
- Experience in writing, optimizing, and validating SQL queries beneficial
