For our client, a leading multinational technology company that specializes in Internet-related services and products, we are looking for an Interaction Designer (m/f/d) in Munich.
The role:
As an Interaction Designer, you'll take on complex tasks and transform them into intuitive, accessible and easy-to-use designs. In this role, you will be part of a sizable, talented and diverse UX team spanning the US and EMEA. You'll have the opportunity to drive innovative design efforts and contribute to high-impact projects bridging multiple product areas across the company.
You will be responsible for all stages of the design process, working closely with user research, visual design, product management, engineering, and myriad partner teams throughout the entire product development cycle.
Responsibilities:
- Help identify opportunities and define UX solutions to evolve the product offering across platforms (mobile/web)
- Collaborate with teams to identify cross-product user journeys and design seamless UX solutions
- Communicate the solutions at various stages of definition using wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, high fidelity prototypes and final design specifications
- Coordinate with PM, User Research, UX Engineering (Prototyping), and Content Strategy to develop elegant, scalable solutions and identify opportunities for validation
Skills/Experience/Education:
- BA/BS degree in Design (interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial, etc)
- Minimum 3 years practical experience as a Full time interaction designer (or equivalent role)
- Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field - or equivalent practical experience
- Strong core interaction design skills
- knowledge of user- centered design methodologies and a good understanding of usability patterns
- Proven track record of designing and shipping successful product experiences for web and mobile interfaces
- A knack for systems-level design thinking, with strong problem-solving skills
- The ability to interpret loosely-structured ideas and requirements across products and identify patterns to create simple, shippable experiences
- Strong, clean, visual design sense, and an obsessive attention to detail
- Proficiency with industry-standard interaction design tools: Sketch, Illustrator, Principle, or similar
