Expert Category Management (m/f/d)

Main tasks:
  • Design of Category strategy
  • Target cost estimation
  • Supplier panel management
  • Supplier development and innovation
  • Analysis of market trends
  • Develop KPIs/targets to measure success of implementation of this category strategy
  • Technical, cost and process optimization


Main qualifications
  • Long-term experience in operational and strategic procurement of global categories with a track record of designing and implementing similar/same category strategies in complex matrix organizations
  • Deep experience in each step of a category design (stakeholder mapping, demand, market analysis, supplier panel management etc.) and proven knowledge of Supply Chain methodologies to analyze supply and demand power (e.g. Kraljic matrix, Porters 5 Forces etc.)
  • Experience in an intercultural working environment with complex stakeholder relations and global set-up of category management
  • Affinity towards innovation and willingness to constructively challenge existing practices - Deep Technical/category specific understanding for the product/services in the category
  • Strong analytical and communication skills combined with a structured and independent working style
  • Strong Team Player
  • Sound knowledge of MS Office programmes, and common procurement spend and analysis tools
  • Extensive Knowledge in Supply Chain Procurement toolbox and supply/demand levers
  • Excellent English, German nice to have
