Aufgabe:Administration for Exadata Platform and the Oracle databases
The Oracle Database and Exadata Administrator will be responsible for the overall management and maintenance of Exadata Platform and the Oracle databases running on it.
Task:
* Daily system monitoring to ensure 24X7 availability of Exadata machines and databases.
* Day-to-day support of multiple Production and non-production environments.
* Database cloning, installation, configuration, patching, upgrades on Exadata.
* GI and RAC maintenance, support and troubleshooting.
* Exadata Capacity, planning, design, and documentation.
* Support and implement high availability and disaster recovery for databases using Oracle RAC, Oracle Data Guard, OEM 12c/13c, and Golden Gate.
* Perform backup and recovery procedures using RMAN, export import datapump.
* Design, document, implement, manage, and audit Database Security policies and procedures.
* Table partitioning, re-organization of tables in database.
* Perform database, sql, OS tuning and implement performance enhancements.
* Automation of repeatable tasks.
* As a member of Oracle DBA team, participate in on-call rotation providing 24X7 support
* Work on projects as needed in close coordination with Architects, PMs, Application architects, Development teams etc.
* Any other related tasks as required and/or assigned
Anforderung:
* very good experience supporting Oracle Databases in a large corporate environment (production support experience is a must)
* Strong knowledge of Oracle ASM and RAC, Oracle Active Data Guard, RMAN backup/recovery, Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 12c, 13c. Golden Gate experience is desired but not required.
* Experience upgrading database from 10,11g to 18c.
* Strong shell, sql, pl/sql scripting skills.
* Experience with performance tuning, capacity planning, database space management.
* Knowledgeable about change management, incident and problem management. Experience working with Oracle Support.
* Extensive hands on experience managing and maintaining Exadata machines, solid exposure to Exadata hardware, good understanding of compute nodes, storage cells, IB switches maintenance, support and troubleshooting.
* Experience with Exadata Quarterly Patching, software and firmware upgrades.
* Experience managing Oracle ZFS appliance.
* Good understanding of the governance required to retain production availability (including checks, patching, capacity management, security)
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
