An application on the basis of Oracle DB and PL/SQL is supposed to be transferred into Google Cloud (GCP).Currently the client is testing and evaluating the different migration strategies.
Your tasks:
- Review and verification of the selected migration strategy
- Review and creation of the cloud concept and the target architecture (IaaS & PaaS)
- Creation of a proof of concept on the Google Cloud Platform:
This would be either exemplary migration/modernisation of parts of the system on Google cloud platform
or rewriting of selected use cases on the Google Cloud Platform (cloud native)
- Guide and train the team for the further implementation
Required skills:
- Experience with Google Cloud service, e.g.Google Cloud Spanner, Google Cloud SQL, Cloud Functions, DevOps services,
Google Apps Engine, Kubernetes Engine, etc.
- Database knowhow (Oracle DB, PL/SQL)
- Fluent English
