Technical Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to act as technical expert in agreed-upon technology areas, potentially including Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop, XenMobile, and/or NetScaler.
- Experience with architecture, engineering, features, and functionality of Citrix products.
- Experience leading or participating in Citrix implementations.
- Experience working with a variety of business applications (ie such that they can assess application requirements and configure them for a Citrix environment).
- Solid understanding of networking foundations, application networking, and network security.
- Solid understanding of general operating systems and modern mobile applications.
- Experience with Windows and/or UNIX Servers.
- Experience with client operating system platforms (PC and Mobile).
Softer Skills
- Perform day-to-day Citrix administration which includes system administration (add additional capacity, install patches, provisioning).
- Integrating new applications and maintaining existing applications
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting and complex problem resolution on escalated issues while monitoring and maintaining application environment stability.
- Apply solid problem-solving techniques consistent with an advanced knowledge of technical and operational issues involving Citrix technologies.
- Assist in root cause analysis, diagnostics, and systems monitoring.
- Provide clear, concise, and customised documentation that is appropriate for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Provide evaluation in designing, updating, implementing latest Citrix products.
- Participate in the development and enforcement of company IT standards, policies, and procedures, develop, and update technical documentation.
- Enhance environments to meet security, audit, and compliance requirements.
- Environment assessments.
- Proof of concepts
- Application integration, profile and policy management, scalability testing, custom Scripting, infrastructure validation, environment builds, and testing.
- Pilot implementation, production roll-out, and issue resolution.

- Capable of planning and leading all aspects of basic and intermediate projects.
- Can proactively detect technical deficiencies and develop practical, workable solutions to problems.
- Good problem-solving skills. Able to break complex problems into manageable components and create an appropriate plan of action.
