Scope:
- Goal is to analyze a set of SAP ABAP problems which after switching to HANA now show longer runtimes than in the legacy ECC 6.0 system. Examples for such programs are:
 
- Dialog Transactions
- Background Processes
- Mass Data processing
- Data lookup of data spread across several database tables
 
In a first step, standard SAP runtime analysis should be utilized to find root cause of long runtimes. Based on the results of this analysis, a concept proposing improvements needs to be created, before they will be implemented.

In a second step, it can then be evaluated whether further improvements utilizing HANA technologies (CDS, database pushdown) would be beneficial to further improve the process. If so, proposal and implementation would be follow-up activities.

All documentation and results are to be shared and discussed with inhouse developers so all improvements will be transparent to them.
