€pd3 month contract for a global E-commerce company based in Berlin.
Are you an expert in the Hadoop eco-system? Are you interested in working for one of the largest E-commerce companies in the world?
Our client, based in Berlin are looking for a skilled individual with solid experience with Hadoop, Spark and Kafka and programming skills in Java to support an excellent and sociable team of data scientists and engineers in shaping the architecture for brand new, data-driven products within one of Germany's top websites.
Role
- Research new big data technologies and techniques
- Understand user behaviours to deliver the most effective personalised and relevant locations to improve customer experience
- Drive data engineering initiatives and innovation with the team
Experience
- 3+ years' commercial experience as a data engineer
- Hands on experience with big data languages like Python, Scala or Java/Kotlin
- Experience with large SQL databases to implement and maintain data processing pipelines
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
- Computer Science degree or equivalent qualification
