Your Challenge
As a system architect you will take responsibility to drive the Intellispace Discovery research platform and the AI in Radiology platform according to strategy and roadmap definitions together with a development team located in Aachen / Cologne (Germany) and Bangalore (India).
You are responsible for
• Develop architecture according to strategy and roadmap / strategy implementation
• Drive architecture vision, design and documentation
• Foster alignment of scrum teams across products and harmonize processes and technologies
• Technical alignment with other functions and product groups within Philips
• Analyze industry and market trends to identify impact on system architecture
• Identify and assess relevant / emerging technologies and recommend path forward
• Approve high risk designs in close alignment with management executives and service functions
• Maintain system quality through appropriate measures such as code reviews and process definitions
• Continuously improve agile development and deployment processes, e.g. by implementation of automated pipelines (continuous integration / DevOps)

You will be part of a dynamic, growing international team that delivers state-of-the-art technologies to apply to customers in clinical and research environments worldwide. We are working closely with several groups within the company (e.g. MRI, CT, PACS, etc.) to provide an integrated, holistic offering of healthcare information technology that is able to make a difference to patients and clinicians. The topics are highly correlated with the strategy of Philips and offers a lot of development opportunities.
As part of the Imaging Clinical Applications and Platforms (ICAP) business unit within the company, a leading vendor of healthcare solutions, we leverage potentials of artificial intelligence to improve patients' health and facilitate workflows of physicians in clinical environments. We work in a highly dynamic customer environment characterized by a large variety of medical research fields and a wide range of associated technologies.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:
• Technical Degree Computer Science/Information Systems or similar
• Extensive experience (5+ years) in information system and network creation and development
• Proven track record (5+ years) to drive architecture in a large IT system, ideally in a healthcare or regulated environment
• Solid track record (5+ years) to design and foster agile processes from requirements to deployment including relevant automation pipelines (continuous integration / deployment, DevOps)
• In-depth understanding (3+ years) of methods and algorithms related to advanced analytics / machine learning / artificial intelligence as well as relevant toolkits
• Experience in relevant technologies for system deployment, e.g. Docker or Kubernetes
• Able to grasp clinical IT environments and design for a variety of local circumstances
• Above-average analytical, conceptual and troubleshooting abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to management as well as technical stakeholders
• Solid track record in prioritizing and executing tasks, also when under strong pressure
• Ability to work with multisite teams across different cultures and functions
• Proficiency in English language is a must, German is a plus
