Category Manager (Strategic Buyer) Corporate Spend DE/AT (m/w/d)The Category Manager (Strategic Buyer) Corporate Spend DE/AT (m/w/d) is responsible for aligning with a defined group of Functional, Category or Divisional stakeholders. They support the development of local, regional & global category strategies by understanding the business needs, challenging demand and transmitting relevant input to the category organization. They implement local, regional and global strategies including the management of key Global suppliers. They build effective relationships with the business ensuring procurement objectives are achieved while business stakeholder satisfaction is kept at the highest level
Major accountabilities:
- Responsible for aligning with Business & Procurement by building effective relationships with Business stakeholders in relevant functions and divisions
- Categories within Corporate Spend (Professional Services, HR Services, Contingent Labor, Financial Services, Legal Services)
- Responsible for supporting Regional & Global category strategy development by translating business needs and plans
- Responsible for providing country-level input to, and validation for, Global Category Strategy and the Annual Country Plan including facilitating involvement of relevant country-level stakeholders
- Accountable for a specific productivity target delivery
- Accountable for capturing and reporting benefits to Business stakeholders in relevant functions and divisions
- Actively contributes to local budgeting and planning activities together with their local stakeholders
- Promotes and demonstrates the full value proposition of procurement across their stakeholder community
- Consulted for business input into regional and global supplier segmentation
- Responsible for the management of supplier relationships as agreed in the supplier segmentation
- Accountable for ensuring issues are addressed and resolved in a timely manner.
- Provides support in term of compliance performance and risk management
- Manages a team of Country Buyers (not as direct reports) ensuring that the Human Resources procedures and practices are applied consistently
- Proactively seeks opportunities to promote success of the team and individual associates during the Talent Review process at a local and global level
Your profile:
- Bachelor's degree required at a minimum
- Master's degree or 5 year Job experience with engineering/technical or commercial background depending on categories in scope
- Minimum 2 years experience in Procurement
- Project management experience; Project Management certificate (e.g. PMI) preferable
- Very good analytical skills (including MS Excel) are mandatory
- Cross-Country Procurement Experience
- German and English: business fluent
