Firmware Engineer - Frankfurt, Germany - +6 Months - 50% REMOTE - Immediate Start - 70 - 80EUR/hrWe are looking for an action oriented Wireless Firmware Engineer to join one of our oldest clients based in Frankfurt.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the full life cycle development on the companies Smart Metering product range including, but not limited to, design, maintenance, configuration management peer code inspection & task creation and tracking
You will hold responsibility for developing and maintaining the wireless technologies used in the companies Smart Metering range including stack and application code
Participating and leading in interoperability testing and test events
To understand secure coding techniques to ensure the product range meets the required industry standards for the relevant certifications and approvals
Essential Experience and Qualifications:
A degree or higher qualification in a relevant subject
5 -10 years of Embedded C programming
Good working knowledge of Embedded RTOS
Previous experience of low-level Embedded processor/Microcontroller
Previous experience and knowledge of secure coding, MISRA
Knowledge of wireless technologies (ZigBee, Bluetooth, 3GPP, IoT) and of ZigBee Smart Energy
Previous experience in over the air' protocol analysis and interoperability testing
Desirable:
Experience of design and development of low power systems.
Knowledge of smart metering (DLMS, GBCS)
Previous experience in agile software development
