Projektbeschreibung/Aufgaben/Rolle:

Background:
Digitalisation will change every customer journey touch point. This is supported by the new eSIM technology including the way in which the client provisions customers, the SIM chip hardware solutions, interfaces and player in the markets. By deploying consumer subscription management,(eSIM) ecosystems in all markets to further accelerate our customer experience we change the way we do business and ensure that Vodafone is playing a crucial role as a technology company.

The role:
The eSIM Integration Engineer integrates the central eSIM components ( Abstraction Layer, SMDP+, in the markets. The role includes consulting of the markets in their solution design, definition of requirements and managing the integration into the “blue print” of the central eSIM components. Further, the role manages the SIM suppliers and technical teams during validation phase by analysis of the high-level design, issue handling and the definition and correct implementation of change requests. The definition of the test concept including test environment, test cases and validation of the correct implementation of local / global and customer components of the subscription management system are also in scope

Key accountabilities and decision ownership
- Define and perform in close cooperation with the technical product lead the integration of different client and customer subscription management system components and clients IT network infrastructure
- Assure that subscription management design and local BSS adaption are in line with clients architecture/requirements as well market/customer requirements and GSMA standards.
. Define and set-up the validation infrastructure and scope and ensure the correct integration, configuration and connectivity set-up for subscription management system (test and life system)
- Identify, document and solve any technical risk to the technical delivery of different client subscription management components to the local markets and IoT Group functions, including evaluation of validation results, driving of corrective measures
- Perform technical assessment of the APIs exposed by the different components, solve issues in cooperation with different parties and assess technical standard/specifications and the impact on eSIM architecture


Skills/Hinweise:

Core competencies, knowledge and experience
- Proven experience and recognised knowledge of IP network technologies
- Excellent knowledge on SIM/eSIM /IoT device technology, (e)SIM provisioning architecture and processes and corresponding (e)SIM IoT standards as GSMA SGP.21 and SGP.22 or SGP.01/02
- Experience in mobile operator systems design (BSS, OSS, CSM, etc.) and eSIM architecture
- Strong analytic and problems solving skills including assessment of log files from abstraction layer down to physical layer
- Experience in large scaled integration projects and problem management

Must have technical / professional qualifications:
- Higher education degree in Engineering /IT and min 5+ year correlated work experience
- Excellent Knowledge of web systems, authentication mechanisms and components: web servers, application servers, databases, transactional systems, content management systems, operating systems, HTTPS, SOAP, JSON, XML, Web Services, RESTful APIs, PKI, TLS, Certificates
- Experience in working with local and remote stakeholder, strong communication skills are mandatory
- English fluent in written & spoken
