Contract - DBA - Rostock (Must be prepared to relocate here) - 6 months - £Daily/Hourly rate - Bilingual (German and English)
A large client of ours are currently searching for a DBA to join them on a contract basis for 6 months. The role requires somebody who is bilingual with German and English and currently lives within commutable distance of Rostock. Further details below:
Key competence (must have)
- ability to engage in business and technical groups in the discussion of software application support
- good level of analytical thinking and understanding of technology for problem solving
- good English, both written and spoken
- ability to work on prioritised requests of customers with a high degree of urgency
Key competence (should have)
- qualified DBA specialist or degree in computer science
- knowledge of and experience with Microsoft operating systems, network topologies and TCP/IP
- knowledge of and experience with SQL, SQL and Non-SQL databases, windows server networks and virtual machine environments
- knowledge of and experience with SQL Profile monitoring
- knowledge of and experience with data export to third party systems
- hands-on experience in database administration
- good communication skills
Key competence (nice to have)
- knowledge of Sybase databases and Oracle databases
- knowledge of IBM Lotus Domino or IBM Domino Administrator
- experience with cloud tools for provisioning, deployment, load-balancing, auto-scaling, monitoring, cost optimisation
- experience with Microsoft frameworks and the Microsoft development stack, such as .NET, ASP.NET, VSTS, Azure DevOps, etc.
- ITIL Foundation certification
- professional experience in ship management or the maritime industry
