Site Quality Manager

Key tasks

- Participates in regular exchanges with Quality Directors from other sites (Quality-Network)
- Ensures the compliance with quality standards in contracts and orders as well as the documentation of quality and contractual conditions
- Ensures that the communication and documentation runs smoothly in case of quality deviances with components as well as vehicles
- Develop and maintain adequate expertise to monitor the quality of manufacturing processes such as welding, varnishing and commissioning and that the department enables its staff to accomplish highly specialized technical duties
- Organizes the activities in the quality department so that responsibilities for orders are clarified and apparent to the entire organization
- Assures process management and continuous improvement of processes in cooperation with the departments
- Is in charge of the strategic implementation of the quality policy
- Is in charge of budgetary control in the quality department


Process Control

- Ensures that every delivered vehicle is accepted by customers
- Plans, organizes, accomplishes and evaluates manufacturing control; is responsible for the final examination and final acceptance
- Ensures inspections, tests and documentation to detect that the product fits contractual clauses and technical requirements
- Assures that an appropriate plan of action is compiled in order to identify and adjust variation in quality as well as to coordinate and support that improvement is accomplished


Quality Support, Quality Management

- Ensures that costing and contracts are reviewed to support the blue-book-process
- Coordinates the department's activities in the claim management process
- Arranges, updates and delivers the car history books
- Assures the inspection equipment monitoring
- Plans, organizes and accomplishes or rather monitors internal as well as external audits
- Maintains and develops the internal quality management system to preserve certification and accreditation
- Certificates conforming to standards if required


Supplier Quality Assurance / Goods in Inspection

- Assures consistent quality of purchased goods/parts (incoming goods inspection, quality assurance with regard to suppliers, source inspection)
- Coordinates supplier monitoring, parts approval processes and first article inspection
- Ensures that sites from suppliers continuously direct their operations to quality standards of DIN EN ISO 9001 and accomplishes appropriate measures (internal/external audits, countermeasures), also prepares quality control and homologation plans
Vehicle Testing
- Assures the planning, organization and accomplishment of the vehicles´ initial startup in case of new vehicles, repair orders and maintenance orders
Project Quality Administration
- Is responsible for the preparation of project-related quality assurance documents and determination of measures required to provide and control projects
- Ensures that department-related tasks in projects are achieved
- Records the entire non-conformity costs, analyzes and develops possible countermeasures

Qualifications

- Degree in engineering, electronics, vehicle construction or a related field
- Several years of professional experience in quality management or a relevant position in the production
