Beschreibung

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren,

für unseren Endkunden suchen wir ab sofort externe Unterstützung.

Project Overview:
Our client has developed a series of key IT projects which in turn will be developed to deliver the more modern hosting environments and contribute to full physical separation from their mother company.
The „DC Exit“ programme has a requirement for a position to manage the identification, analysis, validation, planning and implementation (move/migration) of target systems, applications and infrastructure services into the new environments.
The initial requirement is to get the work up and running with supplier pre-studies for the scoping which are now underway and forecast to run into Q2/2019. In readiness of pre-study completion and resulting outputs a resource is required with strong technical project management, stakeholder and governance skills (along with relevant experience in this type of infrastructure related work) to take the pre-study output as the start point for an implementation project phase to getting the service and data migration work executed.

Task:
Although primarily delivering the implementation of a specific project for our client this project will need to align with many inter-dependent and already running projects to achieve mutual objectives and success, and collaborative working across businesses and organisations will be key in this role.
The initial scope for this project includes the existing File Services such as mapped drives, SharePoint, sFTP, eDiva/DFS, etc plus any other hosting locations connected where data is accessed and/or passes through the current DC environments. As indicated the scope is to be confirmed in the resulting output of the pre-study analysis currently being conducted by the suppliers.
This project will suit a senior PM with proven ability and/or knowledge of classic data centre migration project deliveries. The ability to manage stakeholders, business unit engagement, and supplier deliverables to agreed schedules in an aggressive timescale is essential, as is the ability to produce regular tracking artefacts, reports and communications updates appropriate to this project, objectives and status.

Task:
• Analysis and verification of the 'as is' IT landscape of the identified systems, applications, data and/or services
• Identification of any change or gaps in the current understanding of the 'as is' landscape
• Apply the defined IT strategy, architecture, design and security standards
• Definition of the 'to be' requirements to land the systems, application, data, services into the new hosting locations
• Steer for the migration plan(s) to be in place for the identified infrastructure, systems and services into the new hosting environment with the suppliers to achieve the target timescales
• Coordinate for suitable controls to be put in place to manage the subscribed milestone deliverables
• Engage with the business units and to develop and communicate plans, potential impact, data moves, user testing, etc to be able to achieve a successful signoff
• Manage any project variances to scope, deliverables, etc following defined change processes
• Trigger and coordinate de-commissioning of any unused infrastructure identified during the discovery activities of the project and/or upon migration
• Coordinate with other programmes in order to minimise the impact upon the users
• Coordinate with other projects in order to successfully deliver the wider programme objectives for our client

Key Skill Requirements
• experience in the Energy and Utilities sector
• accredited and strong project management skills and experience
• previous experience in managing large infrastructure migration related projects
• sound understanding of IT data centre infrastructure, connectivity, technologies and services
• highly developed analytical and conceptual skills
• extensive experience of managing service provides (DXC and TSI experience preferred), plus third parties, preferably gained in an outsourced IT environment
• strong experience of risk and change management (and responsiveness to change)
• experience of working under the pressure and within programmes which have a number of inter-dependency projects (i.e. ability to work on own and be part of a wider team)
• very strong stakeholder, business unit and communication skills
• excellent personal organizational skills and proven track record in delivering to timescales
• highly self-dependent, result-driven and process-oriented way of working

Strong IT infrastructure project delivery experience are therefore essential to this role, along with persuasive supplier management skills. This role is primarily based in the UK where ad-hoc travel to other locations in the UK and/or Germany over the course of the project can be anticipated.

Mostly UK based, but willing to travel nationally and internationally when requested.
