Freelance Contract
Position: x3 Java Developer
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Essen - up to 2 days a week remote/home working
Duration: 8 Months - extension possible
Project: Algo Trading

Montash are partnered with a European wide client based in West Germany who are digitalising their trading framework and are searching for developers to continue to build and improve the platform that autonomously prices and trades with clients across external and internal venues.
You will seek interesting technical challenges whilst developing solutions that have a measurable and visible revenue impact


Your Current Profile:
• Deep understanding of IT fundamentals
• Ability to care for clean and testable code
• 3 years’ experience in java (core and EE spring JMS JUunit )with a focus on object oriented design, multi-thread applications and distributed systems
• Experience and in-depth knowledge of SQL, should be able to write SQL queries, stored procedure, index and triggers
• Functional programming skills would be excellent plus
• Ability to work with others to contribute to large projects
• Big data/stream processing skills would be an additional asset
• Positive interpersonal relationship with others in communication and problem resolution

Desired:

• Experience with a second language is useful (Scala, Kotlin, Python, C++)
• Experience with agile software development (Scrum works in this project)
• CI & CD
• Knowledge of modern architecture concepts (eg microservices) and design patterns
