The UI Designer is expected to interpret and execute briefs from the UI Design Lead, Creative Director, UX Lead or product owner and provide UI designs that incorporate visual concepts, typography and imagery.
You must be able to work independently and pro-actively and be able to deliver graphic design layouts, concepts and any other graphic element for any products and services, ranging from user interfaces to PPT presentations and style-guides
Your Tasks:
• Responsibility for the delivery of an end to end design project for a channel or product
• Optimisation of visual design and concepts, supporting the Design Lead in the creation of compelling, high quality design solutions
• Creation of branded visual designs and assist in promoting design innovation across products and services
• Work in scrum teams and delivery of high quality design solutions, maintain visual standards, processes and help design UX visual guidelines
• Design and development of visual design patterns, visual systems, colour palettes and other standards within a User Experience environment
• Actively seek review and approval on visual designs based on Group UX KPIs, from the Design Lead and adhere to time keeping and meet deadlines
Your Qualifications:
• At least two years’ experience in visual design with some industry recognition and at least one years’ experience in a commercial product and/or service development environment
• Strong communication skills in visual, verbal, written and formal presentation formats.
• Able to work effectively in cross-functional projects in a fast-moving environment working with both internal and external resources. Must be able to balance priorities and respond to last-minute changes.
• Consistent focus on customers, demonstrated by placing our customer and their needs ahead of design solutions and technology
• Ability to understand and respond to organisational and cultural factors in a fast-moving environment working with both internal and external resources within an international organisation
• Candidates must have a degree in graphic design, fine art, digital media, product design, industrial design or equivalent and an excellent portfolio to demonstrate their design skills.
