Oracle/Banking/Data Modeller
For one of our prestigious clients we are currently looking for a Data modeler with banking experience.
Skills:
-
Excellent knowledge of Oracle 11gR2 PL/SQL, SQL and analytical functions

Experience as Oracle PL/SQL developer, developing ETL code to load data warehouse/data mart applications

A clear understanding of data-warehouse concepts (eg fact tables, dimension tables, SCD, etc.)

A clear understanding of Oracle features related to data warehousing, such as star transformation, bitmap indexing, partition exchange, etc.

The ability to methodically identify sub-optimal application/database operations using a clear, evidence-based analytical approach to remediate issues: for example, using query plan analysis, the PL/SQL debugger, SQL tracing and so on.

Experience in dimensional modelling for new applications and to extend or modify an existing application.

Experience using data modelling tools, for example Erwin or Power Designer

Experience in designing ETL processes: for example, data staging, consistent job restarts after failures and managing exceptions
