Background:
Based on previous experiences from a microgrid demonstration site in Sweden,
the client has demonstrated the potential of new, innovative technologies (e.g.
PV + storage, eMobility, Battery Systems, etc.) for local balancing in order to
guarantee the secure and reliable operation of a local energy system that relies
on a renewable energy source penetration of up to 100 Percent and the potential
of using elements of this technology for a cost-effective integration of renewables
into the electricity grids.
Additionally, since 2016 the Clean Energy Package for all Europeans published
by the European Commission opened the door to a new market player called
Citizen and Renewable Energy Communities (CEC and REC). The client sees
the possibility, that these new energy market actors can become the regulatory
vehicle that enables a cost-effective integration of renewables by implementing
innovative technologies in those cases where all the involved actors are
benefited by it. For this reason, support is needed to help our team translate
exiting technological solutions into compelling value propositions that the
operational business can understand and support its launch to the market.
These activities will be executed in close collaboration with diverse
internal Innovation Management team as well as with international business units
Tasks:
- Lead business modelling for our innovation initiatives
- Leverage expertise to quantify markets quickly and craft business cases
- Conduct in-depth market assessments and competitor analyses
- Design greenfield approaches to developing innovative, creative and sustainable business models according to the customer's needs, requirements and feedback
Skills:
- Relevant experience in business modelling related activities
- Relevant university degree in Business, Economics, Business Engineering or similar
- Several years project management experience in consulting, corporate development, product management or other relevant industry
- Very good knowledge and understanding of tools such as Business Model Canvas, SWOT, Porter's Five Forces
- Excellent analytical skills, data-driven and result oriented
- Attitude to get things done and drive business
- Proficiency in English; additional languages and international experience are a plus
