Position: Lead Software Engineer In Test (SDET)
Freelance Contract
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Fully Remote
Duration: 12 months with option to extend
Montash are partnered with a Global Automotive company who are looking for a Lead SDET freelancer to support their Automation Solution built on open-source technologies including Appium, Selenium, TestNG, Eclipse IDE and core Python. The primary focus is mobile automation using core Python and Appium.
Your Future Tasks:
- Plan, write and execute automated and manual tests for web application
- Work with developers to ensure that all features and bug fixes come with automated test coverage
- Maintain and enhance existing Python based automation framework
- Report, track and verify defects
Your Current Profile:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or ability to demonstrate equivalent knowledge
- 3 years or equivalent experience in advanced UI automation for web and mobile applications
- Solid experience writing automated tests in Python
- Experience with Selenium and Appium
- Experience with at least one modern web application framework, preferably React
- Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desired:
- Experience in client-side performance analysis for web and mobile application
- Contributed or maintainer of any open source projects
- Experience with an IDE - ie Eclipse, IDEA
- Experience automating Web Service/API testing
- Experience with Agile/SCRUM methodology
- Experience automating mobile applications with Appium
- Understanding of Continuous Delivery/Deployment processes
