For one of our clients in the Rhein-Main area we are looking for a Project Manager Databases (m/f).
Key responsibilities will be:
- Work with stakeholders to develop a strategic plan that delivers a clear product and services roadmap, and technology evaluation and release management. This will include all processes to own and operate the service and product strategy.
- Processes to support the ITIL aligned Delivery Management of products and services, Build, Transition and Launch.
- Processes to operate and maintain the products and services - Lifecycle management, cost management, demand and pipeline management, and performance management.
- Ensure that the project is managed and demonstrate excellence in the application of the following competencies;
- Delivery to Scope & Objectives
- Implementation of Governance Structure utilizing consistent Decision making processes
- Adherence to agreed schedule & timelines
- Delivery within cost & budget
- Management of risks & issues
- Identification of critical Dependencies
- Stakeholders engagement and expectations management
- Resources Management and timekeeping
- Change Control
- Quality Management
Required skills/experience:
- vey deep Oracle database Backround
- 5 years + experience in Project Management of both development and infrastructure projects.
- Relevant experience in managing Infrastructure technology product development. The technical area could be but is not limited to: RDBMS Databases, ZFS Backups, Oracle Monitoring and Alerting.
- Demonstrable track record of delivering similar projects applying a methodology such as Prince2 or PMBOK.
- Experience within a tier1 banking experience ideally infrastructure environments
- Excellent team leader, able to work in virtual global teams in a Matrix organization.
- Extensive analytical skills, flexibility regarding problem solving.
- Open minded, able to share information, transfer knowledge and expertise to team members.
- Able to work in fast paced environment.
- Self confidence
Required skills/competencies
- A Degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in IT or Computer Science related discipline (equivalent diploma or technical faculty)
- In addition, the following education/certification attainment will be beneficial: PMP or Prince2, Data Protection Certification would be advantageous, Optional previous PM knowledge.
- Fluent in English (written/verbal)
- German would be advantageous
