Job summary
My client based in Cologne and operates within the Automotive domain are currently looking for an experienced Front End Lead/Manager. As a Senior Manager in Front End engineering you'll be responsible for providing thought leadership at local and regional level about Front End, mobile and emerging interfaces. You'll also help us develop capabilities, clients, and domain skills as well as taking an active role in business development, project supervision and day-to-day team management.
Primary responsibilities
Technical skills
- An awareness and point of view on emerging technologies and market trends
- Knowledge of common JavaScript design patterns and experience with MV* frameworks and JS libraries (React, VueJS, AngularJS or similar)
- Experience in working with Node.js along with setting up Front End build systems and automation using Webpack, Gulp or similar
- Ability to work with TDD in JS with the help of frameworks like Jest, Enzyme, Jasmine, Mocha, Karma, etc.
- In-depth expertise in CSS architectures (BEM, ITCSS, CSS-in-JS etc.) and tooling (eg PostCSS and SASS)
- Lead all domain work in the architecture and development of quality solutions on large and complex projects
- Solid understanding of how to build scalable, accessible and secure applications
- Able to track progress according to the project plan (conduct code and design reviews and status meetings as needed) and report status to the clients and wider project leadership
- Capable of making changes to design plans, staffing levels or deliverables as needed during the project to ensure quality and timely deliverable
