Technology and Senior Technology Architect (Data Architecture)
Job Locations: Germany (Düsseldorf)
Rate: €600 per day
Duration: 6 months + Possible Extension
Start: ASAP
Technical & Professional Skills/Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required. Will also consider Three years of relevant work experience in lieu of every year of education,
* At least 10 years of experience with Information Technology in developing/architecting data solutions using relational and/or non-relational database management systems
* Strong experience in understanding & designing data model using one of the data model notations (Crows Foot, UML, Chen Notation etc). Should be able to clearly articulate business requirements into conceptual, logical and physical data model
* Understanding of architectural patterns and experience in defining data architecture for IT systems that are globally distributed, highly available and scalable
* Understanding of Data Life Cycle management stages and processes like data transformation, standardization, master/meta data management, data governance, data cataloging, data lineage and security
* Excellent skills in troubleshooting and database performance monitoring & optimization exposure to monitoring tools like SentryOne
* Experience in choosing the best fit SQL/NoSQL Databases, design and development on one or more of the following - Cassandra, Couch, Mongo, Redis Ability to architect these DB platforms for HA and DR while taking care of data scalability, performance, replication, back-ups, archival etc.
* Experience in Architecture, design and implementation of business functionality/applications on one or more cloud data platforms (Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Heroku etc) that leverage the very latest in cloud native technologies
* Experience working on Big Data platforms and data storage solutions (Hadoop Ecosystem/any of its cloud variants)
* Experience using ML and DL algorithms with hands-on in R or Python or Scala is a plus
* Experience working on Agile based projects
* Sound Analytical and Communication skills is a must
Responsibilities:
* Provide technology leadership to projects and programs
* Assist in defining scope and sizing of work
* Understand project goals, provide best-fit architectural solutions and implement the solution
* Guide and mentor team members as well as provide technology consulting to other projects
* Undertake coding of prototypes to demonstrate feasibility of technical solution
* Undertake coding assignments for critical pieces of functionality, help in performance tuning and trouble-shooting, code reviews etc to ensure quality technical product
* Creation of reusable and differentiated assets
* Participate in competency development and in growing the team size
* Creating artifacts that demonstrate thought leadership within the area of technology specialization and in compliance with guidelines, policies and norms.
