Job Summary:
The Network Analyst is responsible for troubleshooting, monitoring, and maintaining the corporate and video network infrastructure and telephony systems.
Responsibilities:
- Configures, tests, monitors, and maintains LAN/WAN equipment and related services in a team environment.
- Assists in the administration of phone system
- Monitors Polycom video endpoints using Polycom Global Management Server (or other); contact customer sites with issues and guide non-technical contacts
- Work with Network vendor and Equipment Installation Vendor Technicians to configure and test newly installed video equipment
- Assists in issue resolution regarding Video Conferences (both on-site and remotely) and responds to various basic questions in regards to video equipment
- Support 10 – 20 Windows users and 1 – 2 Windows servers
- Support users at research sites within Russia
- Troubleshoot all hardware and software issues, basic server errors, connectivity errors and basic Active Directory errors
- Other duties as assigned by management
Travel
- Travel to research sites within Russia on an as-needed basis
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in electronics, engineering, IT or Business
- 2 – 4 years experience with Cisco routers, switches and adaptive security appliances
- Knowledge in the implementation of highly available and redundant network and information systems
- Knowledge of TCP/IP based networking
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Windows Active Directory
- Basic knowledge of Windows server hardware
- 1 – 2 years experience supporting Video Conferencing systems
- Excellent communications skills (written and oral) and multitasking abilities are crucial
- Preferences will be given to candidates having relevant technology certifications
