For our client, a global IT consulting company we are looking for an Onsite Software Developer Project Coordinator on a freelance basis to be based in Essen
Project Start: ASAP
Project duration: 6 months (up to 2 year project)
Location: Essen
Languages: Fluent English
Context:
This contract role is to work for on-site in Essen working at the end client's site, a leading financial services company. The selected individual will be the senior on-site representative for our client
Key Tasks
* Client stakeholder management, escalation management
* Oversee and manage the delivery of five parallel software development work streams between the client and offshore development teams
* Key contact person for the client regarding project performance and issuers arising out of the delivery
* Join and contribute to workshops for the overall client Programme to deploy your extensive experience of effective Projects and Programmes
Skills Required
* Solid commercial experience of project management in SCRUM/Agile Software Development with an offshore team.
* Solid understanding of Scrum/Agile "best practices" and be able to suggest adjustments/changes to make it more effective - we do not need a Scrum Master
* Solid experience in management of Offshore software development teams, preferably of bespoke software development as opposed to commercial-off-the-shelf/standard software
* Experience in operating as a supplier based on-site at a client location
* Previous experience in software development would be advantageous, but not essential
* Degree level qualification
* English mandatory with German a nice to have
* Financial services - nice to have
