Expert (m/w) for Python data science stackWith around 1000 employees and currently 500 freelance consultants, we support well-known companies in the implementation of their IT projects.
For one of our Kunen in Nuremberg we are looking for an Expert (m / f) for Python data science stack on a freelance basis.
Aufgabenbeschreibung:
The client is running a large data processing system to obtain market research insights from Point of Sales (POS) data provided by retailers.
An important first step to processes this data is to match the retailers' descriptions of sold items to the way such items are described in clients master data set (Matching) or to create new records for so far unknown items (Coding).
This project is about reducing the manual efforts when performing these coding and matching processes by utilizing Machine Learning technologies in an combined Cloud / on premise environment.
- Support the Coding team as Data Scientist
- Fluent English skills
- Expert knowledge of Python and the Python data science stack (e.g. scikit-learn, numpy, pandas, Jupyter)
- Expert knowledge of optimization and / or machine learning algorithms and / or deep learning algorithms especially for working with textual data
- Expert skills with regard to database handling, in particular SQL, NoSQL
- Solid skills/experience in building production level REST services that us machine learning
- Solid skills in basic software development tooling (e.g., versioning via git)
- Basic knowledge of AWS esp. Sagemaker
- Ability to think creatively in addressing analytical objectives
- Ability to translate and clearly communicate sophisticated analytical information to none-expert stakeholders and clients
- Strong modeling, statistics and IT skills.

Capacity: Should be on-site most days of the week - Initially 5 days / week, later 3-4 days / week
