Leistungsbeschreibung:
For the development of a digital B2B product in our headquarters in Essen, we are looking for a Java Backend Developer. The purpose of the product is to enable our customers to make faster and better decisions by making energy intelligent and simple through our digital products.
Having the first two versions of the product released, we are currently working on high value use cases for our customers that require the development and integration of machine learning
modules and integration with IoT platforms.
How our engineering team works:
? We use a modern technology stack: Angular with Typescript in the frontend, Scala and Java in the backend, Cloud SQL as database, dockerized deployments on a Kubernetes Cluster, hosted on Google Cloud
? We work in a fastpaced
environment: We rely on a LESS / SCRUMbased
workflow, push to release every 2 weeks, deploy with high automated test coverage, and monitor constantly
? We are an international team and communicate in English only
? We believe in face to face communication and require at least 3 days onsite presence
Anforderung:
You can master the latest technologies and you are versatile with modern languages, tools, and workflows
? You want to build great products for customers, instead of moving tickets to Done
? In depth experience with SCRUM/Kanban and Continuous Integration
? Experienced in designing, developing and testing of fault tolerant software
? You have built scalable applications (ca. 1.000 concurrent transactions)
? Experienced with SQL databases and efficient query design
? You have at least 3 years experience in developing Java
? You are familiar with the Spring Framework and projects like Spring Boot, Spring
Integration and Spring Cloud
? You are open to functional reactive programming (FRP) and ready to learn Scala
Nice to have:
? You are already experienced in developing Scala and the typelevel stack
? You have been processing data at scale (e.g. using InfluxDB, Cassandra, Kafka, Hadoop
and/or MongoDB)
? You have experience with machine learning, real time analytics and optimization
? You know how to operate and distribute Docker containers in a Kubernetes cluster
? You are a cloud native developer and experienced with services like BigQuery,
CloudSQL, Cloud Functions and/or its equivalent services in AWS and Azure
