Marlin Green are currently support our client with a key role (Business Architect - FICO) in the Accounting and Finance Controlling (A+FC) Digitalisation Finance team.
Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver an innovative Business Architecture Strategy for the Accounting and Financial Controlling function. In collaboration with IT Solution and Enterprise Architects, ensure it reflects the current and future business needs based on agreed Use Cases, aligned with industry best practice and the overall Digitalisation Vision.
- Apply a structured business architecture approach and methodology for capturing the key views of the A+FC business in the context of the enterprise.
- Capture the tactical and strategic business goals that provide traceability through the organisation and are mapped to metrics that provide ongoing governance.
- Align Business &Technology Roadmaps to the outcomes of A+FC business process reviews, seeking guidance on the technical approach from IT and jointly appraising the technology to use to support business process improvements.
- Support Solution Architecture Analysis, to gauge architecture and technology fit to the Digitalisation Strategy and identify gaps and critical process/data flows.
- Lead Requirements Workshops with IT, Digital Transformation leads, and strategic partners to elicit and validate requirements to deliver technology-enabled competitive advantage to the ERP landscape and overall Digitalisation vision.
- Ensure Requirements cover the functional and non-functional aspects of the end to end process including the users, systems and IT support elements.
- Prioritise tactical and strategic improvements required to enhance, optimise, re-engineer and develop the existing Business and Technology Architecture, ensuring resources are assigned to deliver these improvements.
- Participate in Use Case and Business Case development, providing input into business benefits for A&FC, aligning technical and functional requirements with business process knowledge and benefits eg in the case of ERP system migrations
Qualifications:
- Degree Education in Business, Accounting, Finance or similar.
- Minimum 5 years as Business Architect, with a proven record of driving business strategy, adoption of new processes and solutions into production, across multiple environments including Cloud and Digital Platforms.
- Highly competent in using business architecture methodologies, standards and tools including Roadmap development.
- A broad, enterprise-wide view of the business and high degree of appreciation for strategy, processes and capabilities, enabling technologies and governance
- Process re-engineering and process improvement including quality business process analysis, operating model designs and design output.
- Several years of business architecture experience with ERP systems including Oracle/Microsoft/SAP technologies. Familiarity with SAP ECC, BW, BI, S/4 Hana and SAP Cloud Platform would be beneficial.
- Any exposure to SAP ECC to S/4 Hana migrations would be a distinct advantage.
- Keen interest in Digitalisation topics and any exposure to AI or Machine learning tools in the Accounting and Finance environment would be an advantage.
