R&D Engineer (Power Electronics) (m/f)

Main tasks:
- Clarification of requirements, consultation with the team leader and project leader about planned activities and realization
- Create and evaluate power electronics solutions for converter and sub-systems together with the team members
- Define and perform prototype tests and measurements for converter circuits and designs
- Perform electrical simulations
- Design and specify passive components
- Develop and maintain technical know-how
- Technical documentation with electrical schematics and drawings
Main qualifications
- University degree
- Profound work experience in power electronics design, preferably in an industrial environment
- Know-how of converter system design
- Profound knowledge of power electronics system simulations (Matlab/Simulink and others)
- Strong understanding and experienced with IGBT power modules
- Profound know-how in passive component design and specification
- Excellent command of English, spoken and written, fluency in German is beneficial
