Member Technical Staff Professional Services
The Member Technical Staff – Safety Systems (MTS) is a technical leader, responsible for requirement definition, system architecture, design and implementation and integration of embedded software, BSP’s, device drivers, middleware system software and application software for safety relevant products. The MTS work with Project Managers addressing the technical aspects and technical team management in a project.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
• Preparation of project description,
• Definition of project deliverables,
• Identification of work packages and tasks
• Estimate scope, duration, and level or effort of proposed work, in conjunction with the Project Manager
• Identification and estimation of technical project risks.
• Identification of tools, skills required for the project execution.
• Requirement and project acceptance definition in conjunction with customer and Project Manager
• System design
• Coordination of implementation and integration activities, leading the technical staff on a project.
• Supports the implemented external or internal Quality Standards
• Implementation and integration activities during project execution.
• Supervision of testing activities.
• Delivers small and large federal projects to the committed project metrics, including compliance with Mil-Aero or other safety related standards as required.
The MTS utilizes excellent written and verbal communication skills in preparing detailed design documents and developing proposals based on analysis of customer requirements. The MTS position requires solid people skills to actively influence the project team and direct interaction with customers and customer teams.
The MTS is a “customer facing” position involving customer interaction during presales negotiations, architecture discussions, and requirements definitions.
Position Requirements:
• Either experienced in the area of Aerospace & Defence, Industrial Safety, Telecommunication / Communication or Automotive; Arinc653 skills is a must
• Must have a strong Software Engineering background, and experience in embedded software projects / development.
• Strong mentoring, supervisory and team building skills
• Strong presentation and communication skills combined with a high motivation and the ability to multi-task.
• 8+ years of experience. Proven track record of technical leadership on projects up to 5 team members, preferably with 5+ years of experience with managing Mil-Aero or other Federal contracts subject to Mil-Aero or other safety related standards.
• Experience with processes (ISO, CMMI) and/or safety standards (Do178-B, IEC-61508)
• Preferably experience in working in a services environment and a track-record of achieving results in fast moving, small teams.
• Written and fluent spoken English is mandatory
• Travel required
Start: September / Oktober
Einsatzort: München => 100 % vor Ort
Dauer: 6 Monate => mit Option auf Verlängerung (bis Ende 2011)
Auslastung: Vollzeit => 5 Tage Woche (Mo-Fr.)
