Senior Data Lake Consultant
Project Description:
Our client´s Data Lake has been in operation since begin of 2018, and with more than 15 use cases implemented within first 6 months has been truly a success story. The ambition is to overcome data silos and to offer a single point of truth for any type of data and enable scalable data analytics across the client´s business areas. The platform leverages state-of-the-art tools and technologies from Microsoft, Talend, Snowflake and Tableau allows our client to implement analytical use cases at fraction of time and cost compared to traditional approaches, helping us to better monetize their data. The Project focuses on implementation of value-add analytical use cases and digitalization of business process in Trading, Generation, Financial Controlling, Tax, Sales and other areas.
Tasks:
• Design and implementation of new use cases on the Data Lake Platform (Azure Public Cloud)
• Monitoring, securing stable operations of the Data Lake Talend infrastructure and existing use cases
• Implementation of Data Governance (Data Catalog) concept for the Data Lake
• User Access Management (Database, Azure Resource Group and Resource Level) and Linux server administration, troubleshooting
• Database administration (Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, Snowflake)
• Collaborate with key stakeholders on IT and business side
• Act as interface between the Data Lake Team of our client and Cloud Management Center, external infrastructure and software suppliers and vendors (e.g. DXC, Microsoft, Talend)
• Participation in the PoCs and pilots, support the team in extending data ownership to new areas
