Technical Project Manager BI (m/w) Baden-WürttembergOur customer is a famous retail company with more than 4000 employees. As a Technical PM in BI you will be responsible to manage BI product projects, ensure planning, budget, quality and performance. Over more you will manage design, administration, support, evolutions and maintenance of the company Business Intelligence IT platform. You also ensure the defined SLA. Platform to work on will be APTOS TXT retail.
Duration: 3-6 month with option to extend
Location: Baden-Württemberg, 1 month full time onsite, then 2-3 days remote
Workload: 100 %

Task:
• Drives and supports user manager and key-users on requirement definition.
• Takes part in the search and choice of solutions and in partners selection.
• Defines the BI concepts: software, concept and modeling, data flow concepts.
• The main contact of project director, user manager and project sponsor in terms of decision and realizations.
• Evaluates the workload, the costs and the human and technical means of the project.
• Establishes the IT planning.
• Organizes and drives the meetings with the different actors of the project.
• Takes part in the implementation: interface conception, customizing, development of SQL requests, tests.
• Ensures night time duty (on-call)
• Analyzes and designs the workflows, needed for the integration of all the implementations.
• Identifies and evaluates impacts of the solutions on the processes and the existing systems.
• Ensures compliance with company IT security policy.
• Coordinates and follows the tasks done by internal or external BI people. Supports them.
• Ensures quality and matching with requirement of deliveries by well testing. Validates deliveries.
• Manages the test strategy, the quality, the lead time and meets the deadlines.
• Writes and keeps updated the BI documentation, needed for a third person to ensure the maintenance and well running of the implemented solution.
• Ensures consistency and reliability of published data.
• Ensures performance/well response time of the whole BI solution.
• Provides 2nd-level support to users.
• Ensures and takes part on the administration, maintenance : bug fixing, upgrades, change requests of the implemented solution
• Defines controls, indicators, warnings, in order to follow the defined SLA.
• Provides regular feedback/reports to the manager
• Backup of the BI Project Director
Your Profile:
• Very good know how in BI design and technical skills, example: Merise, UML, Sybase/SAP IQ, Oracle, ETL/ELT, Business Objects, Qlik/Tableau
• Excellent SQL skills and good knowledges in database management systems like columnar, hadoop, relational DB
• Profound Experience as an IT BI project manager
• Experience as IT developer is nice to have, example: .net, java, php, python, shell script, Windows powershell
• Experience in APTOS TXT retail is nice to have, the client will invest in education if no foreknowledge is available
• Very good analytical skills
• Very good communication skills and self-government
• Very good assertiveness
• Very good English language skills
• German or France language Skills is nice to have
