For our client we are looking for a Consultant (m/f) Red Hat Satellite 5.8 in Heidelberg from 13.08.2018-31.10.2018 for 18 days.Tasks:The Service Module 4 is related to the RH-Satellite 6.3 server installation.
- Analysis of the existing Satellite server 5.8 to identify configuration-settings which can be migrated to the new Satellite server 6
- The installation of RH-Satellite 6.3 server. The server will be installed based on a virtual machine provided by customer - If required by the customer, a Satellite 6 Capsule (Proxy) Server will be installed based on a virtual machine provided by customer
- The configuration migration from the existing RH-Satellite 5.8 server
- Red Hat Satellite 5.8 uses configuration channels to support configuration file management. These configuration channels are not available in RH-Satellite 6.3. *The existing configuration file distribution documented in the file "GLB_Standard_Linux_Configuration_Management_2011.doc" will be migrated to an Ansible based configuration management, similar to the automatization approach defined for the SAP BW/4 HANA in Service Module
The registration process to the new Satellite Server for the existing RHEL-6 clients and for the new RHEL-7 image will be documented and tested with a maximum of 5 clients.
The final rollout process to register existing RHEL-6/7 clients with the RH Satellite Server is not included in this offer, it is within the customer responsibility
