Jobbeschreibung:
• Experience in implementing, upgrading and supporting/administering AIX systems in an enterprise environment (including AIX6, AIX7)
• IBM Power7 and Power8 technology
• IBM Power Systems virtualisation technologies
• Unix security, particularly how to configure systems to meet a company’s corporate security standards
• The development, maintenance and delivery of build images, including experience of using the automated image deployment mechanism
• AIX Performance analysis and tuning
• Demonstrate a competent understanding of the AIX architecture
• Shell scripting
• Competent ‘vi’ editor user
• TCP/IP and DNS
• Basic understanding of ORACLE databases and SAP systems
• Investigation and resolution of user problems
• Identification and exploitation of cost saving and/or service improvement opportunities
• Effective knowledge transfer skills
• Excellent interpersonal and customer skills, confident communicator and team player.
• The ability to manage and own issues, small and large, on behalf of the department and work unaided to support systems during agreed support hours
• Very good German and English skills
• The successful candidate must be a highly motivated team player who is service and customer focused and signed on to pro-active management
• The role requires an ability to take on a high level of responsibility quickly and deliver against agreed business targets
• Flexible working covering between the hours of 7am-5pm is required and must be available to carry out ‘standby’ and/or weekend working as required
Highly Desirable Skills:
• IBM AIX with certification
• Deeper knowledge of IBM Power Virtualisation technologies
• Knowledge of incident, change, problem and configuration management within an ITIL framework
• Knowledge of IBM PowerHA cluster software
• Ability and willingness to run small projects under high pressure, customer focused conditions
Desirable Skills
• SLES (Suse Linux Enterprise Server) / RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux)
