Status: Contract
Location: Munich/Stuttgart/Coventry (UK)
Desired Technical/Program Specific Requirements:
Around 10 years of experience with OEM/Tier-1s in Automotive seating subsystems design & development
Experience in automotive seat systems design and development for 1st or 2nd or 3rd row seats with expertise in structures or in plastics
Experience in working from concept design till production release at least for couple of programs
Knowledge of JIT processes, working with assembly drawings, knowledge of welding standards is required
Understanding on product manufacturing methods, plastics and sheet-metal
Handle independently the DFMEA and DVP activities and guide the teams for issue resolutions
Designing seating system components in compliance with FMVSS regulations for US or ECE for Europe Automotive market
Supplier coordination for technical clarifications and support during builds
Experience in Engineering Change Management (ECM), Interaction with customer/client engineers in understanding the design requirements
Good understanding on Tolerance stack up analysis
Ability to analyse 3D Math data and review designs utilizing Vis-Mock-up
Experience of using any CAD tool - CATIA/UG NX is preferred
Bachelor's Degree/Master's Degree in Engineering: Mechanical or Automotive Engineering is preferred
Leading a team of designers and interacting with cross-functional teams to collectively deliver the specification targets meeting the weight, cost & timeline requirements
Strong communication skills with ability to organise reviews
Experience in supporting multiple programs in parallel
Must have German language proficiency
