We are looking for Data Engineer (m/f) for our client in Essen / Munich.Start : 01.07.2018
Duration : 5months + Option
Location : 30% Remote + 70% Essen, Munich
Tasks:
• Act as a software/data engineer/developer in a consulting role within various projects focusing on optimization of electrical networks
• Drive Industrialization of a proof-of-concept and help the team to scale the solution
• Design, develop, and deploy production-ready software for a big-data platform.
• Provide visibility to software quality issues and work with the project team to fix those.
• Apply agile methods to optimize software product development.
Skills:
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other closely related field.
• At least 2 years’ experience in software development
• Expert in object-orient programming in several programming languages (e.g. Python, Scala, and Java).
• Experience in working with various database systems (e.g. SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop), query languages (e.g. SQL, Spark, Hive) and web APIs.
• Ability to quickly understand business-oriented software development.
• Strong product-oriented mindset
• Experience working in a multinational work-environment.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
