Our client is currently looking for a Scada Specialist (m/f) in Essen.
- Manage virtual SCADA environment (ESXI / VM Ware)
- Maintain inventory of hardware and firewalls
- Manage our OSI Soft PI Server
- Resource- and Vendor management
- Setup and Configure new Server for Wind Power Plants, PV and Storage
- Configure Firewalls especially in our production environment
- Maintain Firewall checks, monitoring and reporting
- Responsible for regular Process IT network scans regarding IT Security
- Responsible for PIT (Process IT) Security
Skills:
- Degree or equivalent education in Information Technology
- Proven experience with network technologies in renewables SCADA environment
- Knowledge about SCADA and OT architectures in utility business are key
- Deep knowledge of OSI Soft PI Server are a plus - basic understanding mandatory
- Understanding of utility / power generation business
- Ability to work within a multi-cultural team
- Strong methodical and technical knowledge in IT/OT Infrastructure (network design, protocols, firewalls, IT Security)
- Proven good skills in virtualization technologies (VM Ware)
- Experience in OPC, Modbus and IEC specific protocols and their network specific behaviors
- Strong ability to solve issues and to understand complex technical concepts
- Appreciation of general technical concepts (e.g. databases, security, backup)
- The ability and willingness to learn new technologies quickly
