Transition & Transformation Manager - Applications
Whitehall Resources are currently looking for a Transition & Transformation Manager - Applications.
Key Requirements:
- The Transition and Transformation (T&T) Manager is responsible for the successful transition of one area of scope from the incumbent operations outsourcers and internal teams to the new international outsourcer.
- Working closely with a Transition Manager from the new outsourcer, striking the correct balance between risk and speed. - Where there are also Transformation elements in the area of scope, the T&T manager is responsible for their successful implementation working with the incoming outsourcer's transformation team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Align transition plans within and across areas and manage dependencies and impacts on other parts of the transition program throughout.
- Agree transition process approaches with incoming and outgoing outsourcers, and monitor/handle escalations internally and with outsourcers.
- Knowledge Transfer, shadowing and hypercare.
- New tool/technology commissioning and testing.
- Process change required for the target operating model
- Where transition is in phases, agree with internal and external stakeholders.
- How phases are defined (eg by user type, geography).
- Interim processes while both outsourcers are active.
- Manage communications with business liaison teams re transition in the relevant area.
- Validate/clean up inventories.
Key Experience/Skills:
- Operational transition between outsourcers in application operations.
- Solid understanding of application operations tools such as monitoring, and dependencies on infrastructure such as backup, storage management, network management.
- Supplier management and negotiation.
- Stakeholder management.
- Transition management of large scale environment between outsourcers, covering applications scope.
- Operational management of IT applications scope.
- Deployment of new application operations environment.
- Application operations - SAP.
- Application operations - Engineering (includes product data management, CAD, IBM Rational suite) software engineering management).
- Application operations - Custom and COTS (>100 applications of varied scope including maintenance, warehouse management, time tracking, HR).
